Existing is a problem, always; because exist-ing is finite. The very root of this problem is identification (with the individual self that i take myself to be). All action, whether aimed at 'release'* from this bind or not, only serves to perpetuate that identity and further consolidate it; for action is both predicated on, and results in, identification. Indeed, in a certain sense one could call them synonyms. There is no action without identification; there is no identification without action.
So, there can be no 'release' from identification; for release is an action. 'Release' can only be meant figuratively. Relative to, or in the context of, the actor, or the acting, there is 'release' (for in that context all there is action) but in truth whatever is designated as 'the state of being released' is, and cannot but be, already fully the case. This is necessarily so, because, following our logic, it cannot be brought about; either it is real and fully the case already, or it is impossible and simply false.
This being the case, any idea which states 'release' to be function of some action, or as the result of a sequence of actions - a 'release' that in anyway 'comes about' - cannot be true. On the contrary, whatever this idea is, should it be pursued, cannot but lead to a deepening of the problem, the identification. For there is nothing more inducing of identification than the pursuit of 'the solution'. It rouses an infinitly more dense identity.
